The Baao Water District joins the nation in celebrating this year’s National Human Rights Consciousness Week (NHRCW) from 4 to 10 December 2020 by virtue of Republic Act No. 9201. Consequently, this December 10th shall be the 72nd Anniversary of the United Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) since the 1948 United Nations General Assembly adoption of human rights milestone document.
This year’s theme is “Karapatan at Pagbangon sa Lahat ng Panahon: Recover Better – Stand Up for Human Rights.” All government agencies, including government-owned and -controlled corporations, are encouraged, on this trying times of pandemic and post-calamities, to ensure that basic human rights are central to all recovery efforts.
Further, the Civil Service Commission enjoined government offices to conduct activities to raise the awareness of their employees and public with regard to their human rights.
